So, let me explain what Thitherto Thursday is.... To put it quite simply, I love the English language, and the extensive vocabulary that it is built upon. Therefore, I will share some amazing words, definitions, origins, etc... every Thursday. Who knows? You may learn a new word that you have never used, before!

1.) a word, line, verse, number, sentence, etc..., reading the same backward; as forward, as:

"Madam, I'm Adam." OR "Poor Dan is in a droop."

Language of origin: Greek - 1620-30; < Greek palíndromos recurring, equivalent to pálin again, back + -dromos running
